Description: Turk's Solution is intended for use in counting leukocytes in a defined volume of blood. Erythrocytes are 
hemolyzed while leukocytes are stained for easy visualization. 
 
 
Uses/Limitations: Not to be taken internally. 
 For In-Vitro Diagnostic use only. 
 Histological applications. 
 Do not use if reagent becomes cloudy. 
 Do not use past expiration date. 
Use caution when handling reagents. 
Non-Sterile.

Storage: Store at 18-25°C. 
 
Precautions: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. 
Harmful if swallowed. 
Follow all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding disposal. 
 
 
Required: Leukocyte pipette / Thoma’s pipette. 
(Not Included) Counting chamber / Thoma’s chamber / Neubauer chamber. 
 
 
Procedure: 
 
1. Draw blood to the 1.0 mark on the pipette. 
2. Draw Turk’s Solution to the 11.0 mark (dilution 1:10) 
3. Shake pipette vigorously for 3-5 minutes. 
4. Dispose of the first 5 drops from the pipette. 
5. Fill counting chamber. 
6. Count leukocytes microscopically using a 10X objective.
